RESOLUTION NO. 2014-075 ADOPTED July 8, 2014
A RESOLUTION: AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR MILLING AND PAVING OF
PARKING LOTS AT FREEDOM, ROBINSON AND GREENWAY
PARKS TO ARTHUR CONSTRUCTION COMPANY INC.
WHEREAS,the purchase of asphalt services for Freedom Park, Robinson Park and
Greenway Park has been identified in the Capital Asset Replacement Fund for FY2014; and
WHEREAS,the Town is utilizing the Loudoun County Job Order Contract for Paving,
Surfacing and Site Work(IFB# QQ-01818),which awards work to Arthur Construction
Company, Inc.; and
WHEREAS,the cost for Freedom Park is $157,869.89; Robinson Park, $25,576.18;
Greenway Park; $12,094.68; and
WHEREAS,the Director of Parks and Recreation recommends the approval of the award
of this contract.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that the
Town Manager is authorized to execute a contract for milling and paving services from Arthur
Construction Company Inc. in the amount of$195,540.75.
