A RESOLUTION APPROVING OF THE LIQUOR AND ALCOHOL PERMIT FOR KUM &
GO STORE # 137 LOCATED WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF TIFFIN, IOWA AT 101
VILLAGE DR. EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2013.
Whereas, House File 617 Signed by Governor on March 30, 2011, now allows Class E liquor control
licenses to be issued for premises where gasoline is sold, such as convenience stores. The Bill
eliminates the requirement that convenience stores that sell gasoline have a separate walled-off room
for liquor sales becomes effective July 1, 2011. Sales are for off premise consumption, and;
Whereas, KUM & GO STORE # 137, now carries an Alcohol Permit for Class C Beer, Class B Wine
(Carryout Wine) and Sunday Sales. Kum & Go has now applied for application for the Class E Liquor
Sales, and;
Whereas, the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa has reviewed and will determine the addition of a
Liquor Permit to the current Alcohol License requested by the business establishment known as
"Kum & Go Store #137" located within the city limits of Tiffin, Iowa, and;
Whereas, the City Council 'has not discovered any reason to deny the addition of the Liquor Permit to
the Alcohol Permit for "Kum & Go Store #137". City Council directs the City Clerk to submit for local
authority, approval of permit :to the State of Iowa Alcoholic Beverages Division.
On the 08th day of May 2013, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin, Iowa.
Councilperson Bartels made a motion for Resolution 2013-099 A RESOLUTION APPROVING OF
THE LIQUOR AND ALCOHOL LICENSE FOR KUM & GO STORE # 137 LOCATED WITHIN THE
CITY LIMITS OF TIFFIN, IOWA AT 101 VILLAGE DR. EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2013. Seconded by
Council person Kahler.

Absent: none
WHEREUPON, with five votes for approval, Mayor Berner declared that the Resolution°2013-099 A
RESOLUTION APPROVING OF THE LIQUOR AND ALCOHOL LICENSE FOR KUM'& GO STORE
# 137 LOCATED WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF TIFFIN, IOWA AT 101 VILLAGE DR.EFFECTIVE
JULY 1, 2013 be adopted and signified his approval of the same by affixing his signature thereto.
. Passed by the City Council on the 08th day of May 2013 and approved by the Mayor.
