A RESOLUTION: AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF A REPLACEMENT FRONT END
LOADER
WHEREAS,the approved Fiscal Year 2015 Budget includes funding for the purchase of a
replacement Front End Loader for the Department of Public Works; and
WHEREAS,the Virginia Department of Transportation(VDOT), pursuant to the Virginia
Public Procurement Act, has a current contract for the purchase of this type of equipment with James
River Equipment of Fisherville,Virginia; and
WHEREAS,the Town of Leesburg may use the current VDOT contract and the purchase
price for a Front End Loader is $173,137; and
WHEREAS,the Town's Chief Procurement Office and the Director of Public Works
recommend purchase of this equipment from James River Equipment in the amount of$173,137.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that the
Town Manager is authorized and directed to purchase a Front End Loader from James River
Equipment of Fisherville,Virginia in the amount of$173,137.
PASSED this 9th day of September, 2014.
