A RESOLUTION: AUTHORIZING THE COMISSION ON PUBLIC ART TO APPROVE THE
A ROTATING EXHIBIT OF ARTWORK, PROVIDED SOLELY BY
LOUDOUN COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOL STUDENTS, FOR
EXHIBITION ON THE SECOND FLOOR OF TOWN HALL
WHEREAS,the Town of Leesburg Council supports the Commission on Public Art
established in 2006 (COPA Article XII Section 2-100 of the Leesburg Town Code); and
WHEREAS,the work of the Commission on Public Art encourages and supports art and
specifically Loudoun County's talented youth and to demonstrate that Leesburg values art and
creativity within the community; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council must endorse all art displayed on public property; and
WHEREAS, all artwork for the second floor hallway of Town Hall will be provided solely
by Loudoun County Public School Students and approved by the Commission on Public Art prior to
exhibiting.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED, by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that the
Commission on Public Art is authorized to approve artwork provided solely by Loudoun County
Public School Students for a rotating exhibit on the second floor of Town Hall.
