RESOLUTION NO. 2014-098 ADOPTED September 9,2014
A RESOLUTION: AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF A REPLACEMENT BACKHOE
WHEREAS,the approved Fiscal Year 2015 Utilities includes funding for purchase of a
replacement backhoe; and
WHEREAS,pursuant to the Virginia Public Procurement Act; cooperative contract pricing
was requested and extended from Croff Tractor and Equipment through the National Joint Power
Alliance(NJPA) contract; and
WHEREAS,the purchase price for the backhoe is $104,598.90; and
WHEREAS,the exiting backhoe was auctioned on surplus for the price of$27,100.00; and
WHEREAS,the purchase price of$ 104,598.90 has been approved by the Town's Chief
Procurement Officer; and the Director of Utilities recommends purchase of this equipment from
National Joint Power Alliance(NJPA) in the amount of$ 104,598.90.
THEREFORE,RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that the
Town Manager is authorized and directed to purchase this equipment from Croff Tractor and
Equipment of Frederick, Maryland in the amount of$ 104,598.90.
PASSED this 9th day of September,2014.
