A RESOLUTION: APPROVING A SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION OF $3,000 TO
THE FY 2015 PARKS AND RECREATION BUDGET RESULTING
FROM A DONATION FROM LEESBURG DOGS INC.
WHEREAS, Leesburg Dogs Inc. has been in a private/public partnership with the Town
via the Parks and Recreation Department since the construction of the Leesburg Dog Park in
2009; and
WHEREAS, the group has provided physical enhancements to the Leesburg Dog Park in
the past that have brought onsite amenities such as water spigots and benches: and,
WHEREAS,the organization has decided to dissolve itself and make a final contribution
to the Town of Leesburg; and,
WHEREAS, on October 28, 2014, Leesburg Dogs Inc.'s Board of Directors donated
$3,000 to the Town's Parks and Recreation Department; and
WHEREAS,their request was for the funds to be specifically used for dog park
enhancements or construction.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that the
FY-2015 Parks and Recreation budget is hereby amended, and an appropriation of$3,000 is
approved to be used for dog park enhancements or construction.
PASSED this 10th day of November, 2014.
