RESOLUTION NO. 2014-119 ADOPTED November 10, 2014
A RESOLUTION: TO APPOINT SO YUN MARYN TO THE MASON ENTERPRISE
CENTER LEESBURG, BOARD OF ADVISORS
WHEREAS,the Town collaborates with George Mason University to foster the growth
of the Mason Enterprise Center—Leesburg(MEC)to serve as an incubator for entrepreneurial
business development;
WHEREAS, the Leesburg Town Council established a Board of Advisors in July 2011
which allows for representation of the Town of Leesburg, the County of Loudoun, George
Mason University,the SBDC, the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce and the business
community At Large;
WHEREAS, Mr. Steve Robin resigned from the MEC Advisory Board as a Town
Council representative and advertisements were placed to recruit interested parties as potential
advisors;
WHEREAS, Ms. Kimberly Hicks and Ms. So Yun Mryn expressed interest and their
resumes were presented and discussed by the Leesburg Economic Development Commission;
WHEREAS,the Leesburg EDC voted to support Ms. So Yun Maryn.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED, by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that
Ms. So Yun Maryn be appointed to the MEC Board of Advisors.
PASSED this 10th day of November, 2014.
