A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DENYING A CHANGE OF
ZONE IN ZONE CHANGE CASE NO. 73 -384
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the City Council does:heteby find, determine
and declare as follows:
(a) That the owners of certain real property located
in the City of Temple City, County of Los Angeles,
State of California, located at 9619 -9633 East Broadway,
in said City, more particularly described as:
Portion of Lot 34, Parcels 16 and 17, Mission
View Acres, Book 12, page 150 of Maps in the
Office of the County Recorder, County of Los
Angeles, State of California.
have heretofore filed an application for a change of
zone from R -1 to R -3; and
(b) That the City Council conducted a duly noticed
public hearing on such application, that said hearing
was duly closed; and
(c) That based upon the evidence adduced at said
hearing, the Planning Commission files and applicable
staff reports, and each member of the Council being
familiar with the proposed site, said Council determines
that the zone change should not be granted for the
following reasons:
1. That the proposed change of zone is damaging to
abutting single family residential uses.
2. That it is an encroachment into R -1 zoned area
to the east.
3. That it establishes precedent for similar situations.
SECTION 2. The .City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this Resolution.
APPROVED and ADOPTED this 3rd day of April, 1973.

I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was adopted
by the City'Council of the City of Temple City at a regular
meeting held on the 3rd day of April, 1973, by the following
vote of the Council:
AYES Councilmen - Dennis, Gilbertson, Tyrell, Briggs
NOES: Councilmen - Merritt
ABSENT: Councilmen -None
