A RESOLUTION: TO INITIATE AMENDMENTS TO THE TOWN CODE TO INCREASE
CERTAIN PARKING FEES
WHEREAS,the Town Council of Leesburg,Virginia has been discussing parking issues
within the downtown area; and
WHEREAS,the Town Council desires to increase parking fees for the Town garage
and parking meters throughout the Town in order to increase turnover of parking spaces on the
street as well as encourage parking in the garage; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council may increase fees by amending the Town Code after an
advertised public hearing.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that the
Town Council hereby initiates amendments to the Town Code in order to increase fees charged
for the Town parking garage adjacent to 25 West Market Street as well as parking meter rates
throughout the Town.
