RESOLUTION NO. 2015-035 ADOPTED: March 10, 2015
A RESOLUTION: APPROVING A SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION OF $9,662 OF
GENERAL FUND UNASSIGNED FUND BALANCE RESULTING
FROM THE NET PROCEEDS FROM THE 2014 AIRSHOW.
WHEREAS,the Annual Airshow is supported primarily by private donations and an
operational budget is established based on anticipated donations, grants and vendor revenue; and
WHEREAS,when revenue exceeds anticipation or expenses are less,the show yields a
balance of unused revenue proceeds; and
WHEREAS, the excess revenue of$9,662 that resulted from last year's Airshow will be
used to secure performers and other logistical needs for the 2015 Airshow; and
WHEREAS,this will offset expenses in the FY 2016 budget and utilize sponsorship funds
for the Airshow.
THEREFORE RESOLVED,by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as
follows:
SECTION I. The FY 2015 Budget is hereby amended and an appropriation is made in the
amount of$9,662 for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2014 and ending June 30, 2015.
SECTION II. The Airport budget is amended in the amount of$9,662 for the Airshow.
