AT THE COMMUNITY CENTER ilk := x : ` "➢ : Mayor, Brad Andersen, Council members — Clip Holverson, Dennis McArthur, Steve Elliott, Scott Long, City Clerk, Betty McKinlay, Work Supervisor, Zech Prouse and Ross Johnson. VISITORS: Roger Warner, Terry McNamara, Bud Shepherd, Sally Price, Todd Hyde, Jack Rainey, Bob McBride. Mayor Andersen welcomed Roger Warner, and those on the water committee. Roger Warner from Idaho Dept. of Water Resources discussed the water rights with the Council. Questions were asked. Mayor Andersen asked how much water rights we have and if we have enough. Mr. Warner said we need to evaluate, have a water study done, and know where we are at. The water study will help when we get it done. The well in the park can be replaced. We just need to document what each well is doing. Mr. Warner suggested any land annexed to bring there own water rights. He said we can not apply for another well but we can bring another well on line. If we have a water right we can do an application for another well. We can drill beside the existing well. Mr. Warner gave a web site we can go to: www.idwr.idaho.gov Jack Rainey who is a consultant on the water survey said he would like to take a field trip up to the water tank on the hill. A time was sat for May 9th at 7:45 p.m. He said this is your drinking water protection plan and he is here to help us. Bob McBride discussed with the Council his application for Building Inspector. He is Building Inspector for Idaho Falls. He would be available after 2:00 p.m. on week days. There was a question on insurance. Mayor Andersen talked with Attorney Dale Storer and the building inspector would be covered on the City insurance. The City's policy reads that we would not be liable for inspections. Council member Clip Holverson mentioned a garage going in on Olsen. The gravel is poured. There was a question on the set backs, but Works Supervisor, Zech Prouse had them change the set backs to code . Mayor Andersen looked at it and approved the permit after the set backs were changed to code. Mayor Andersen said that he had attended a workshop and they said that meetings should not go over three hours. So we need to limit our time. The Council discussed the width of the city roads. The fence at the shop was discussed and the Library contract. Council member Scott Long suggested getting Lynden Kunde and the Sewer District in to repair the road in the Ashwood Acres. The Council discussed the restrooms in the park. Council member Steve Elliott said the cost went up to $32,000. City Clerk, Betty McKinlay suggested just replacing the fixtures in the restroom. It would be less expensive. Mayor Andersen suggested asking Dave Huntsman to come and talk about the Planning and Zoning and asking him to be on the committee. The Council discussed letting the Mayor have $2,000 available for him to spend when something came up and not have to get the Council approval. Work Supervisor Zech Prouse asked about the fence around the new shop. Homeland Security has not gotten back with us. Landon's has price to fix Scoresby Ave. Mayor Andersen asked the Council to do the things on the Action List. He mentioned that Rexburg Museum asked if we wanted to put the fire truck in their museum. Robyn Keyes has handed in her bid to mow the lawns. Meeting adjourned.
