Hill’s Termination (TRG) Campaign Treasurer’s Report, for period covering November 3, 2017– February 5, 2018. The report appears to need amending, correcting or is incomplete as indicated below. The Campaign Treasurer’s Report Summary lists the Total Monetary Contributions To Date, in box nine, as $51,230.17. It lists the Total Monetary Expenditures To Date, in box ten, as $42,204.14. The difference between these two amounts is $9026.03. Unless Candidate Regina I. Hill plans to transfer these funds to an office account, the total monetary expenditures should reflect the disposition of all remaining funds. Per FS 106.141(4)(a) “any candidate required to dispose of funds pursuant to this section shall, at the option of the candidate, dispose of such funds by any of the following means, or any combination thereof: 1. Return pro rata to each contributor the funds that have not been spent or obligated. 2. Donate the funds that have not been spent or obligated to a charitable organization or organizations that meet the qualifications of s. 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.” The Termination (TRG) Campaign Treasurer’s has been determined to be late. It was due to the City Clerk’s Office on February 5, 2018 (90 days after General Election) and was received in the City Clerk’s Office on July 25, 2018. Florida Statutes 106.07(8)(a) provides that "the fine shall be $50 per day for the first 3 days, $500 for each day thereafter, not to exceed 25 percent of the total receipts or expenditures, whichever is greater, for the period covered by the late report." The fine for the late report has been calculated to be $2231.25. In the case of a candidate, such fine shall not be an allowable campaign expenditure and shall be paid only from the personal funds of the candidate. Sincerely yours Denise Aldridge City Clerk cc: Regina I. Hill
