A RESOLUTION: APPROVING A SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION FOR
DONATIONS OF UP TO $14,000 FROM PRIVATE SOURCES TO
LEESBURG COMMISSION ON PUBLIC ART FOR THE PARKING
GARAGE MURAL PROJECT
WHEREAS,the Town of Leesburg has entered into a public art agreement with Northland
Design and Construction, Inc. for$15,000 plus expenses to provide a permanent mural on the
Town's parking garage; and
WHEREAS, the funding for the agreement shall be provided by private sources and not by
Town funds; and
WHEREAS,the Friends of Leesburg Public Arts have already donated $5,000 toward this
project which was appropriated to the Commission on Public Art(COPA)budget in 2014; and
WHEREAS, in order for the COPA to expend additional donated funds,the Town Council
must pass a supplemental budget appropriation to the Commission on Public Art budget for Fiscal
Year 2015.
THEREFORE RESOLVED, by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that:
SECTION I. The Fiscal Year 2015 Budget is hereby amended and an appropriation is
made in the amount of up to $14,000 for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2014 and ending June
30, 2015. Any unused funds remaining after June 30, 2015, are hereby appropriated for Fiscal
Year 2016.
SECTION II: The only funds that can be spent from this appropriation are those donated
from private sourses for the mural project.

SECTION III. The Commission on Public Art Fiscal Year 2015 budget is amended in the
amount of up to $14,000.
