AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL,
ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM THE GOVERNOR’S COUNCIL FOR IMPAIRED AND DANGEREOUS DRIVING
WHEREAS, the Governor’s Council for Impaired and Dangerous Driving has grant funding available; and
WHEREAS, the City of Richmond Police Department desires to submit a grant application to purchase 10 PBT (Portable Breath Tester) Alcpro Alco-Sensors.
WHEREAS, a local match of One Thousand Two Hundred Forty-Five Dollars ($1,245.00) is required for this grant.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, as follows:
1. The City of Richmond Police Department is hereby authorized to submit a grant application to the Governor’s Council for Impaired and Dangerous Driving to purchase 10 PBT Alcpro
Alco-Sensors.
2. The City of Richmond Police Department is authorized to accept said grant funding in an amount up to Three Thousand Seven Hundred Thirty-five ($3,735.00) Dollars
3. Said Funds, if awarded to the City of Richmond, shall be appropriated to purchase 10 PBT Alcpro Alco-Sensors.
Passed and adopted this 4th day of March, 2002, by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana.
