RESOLUTION NO. 2015-075 ADOPTED June 23, 2015
A RESOLUTION: AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR THE NETWORK SWITCHES
REPLACEMENT PROJECT TO DISYS SOLUTIONS INC. IN THE
AMOUNT OF $298,797.60
WHEREAS, the Town of Leesburg's current network switches are near end of life and
end of support from CISCO in Fiscal Year 2016; and
WHEREAS, the upgrade will allow the continuation of day to day operation of critical
Town Information Technology Systems: and
WHEREAS,this is being procured from the cooperative State Contract No. VA-110418-
DISYS, in accordance with the Town of Leesburg Procurement Policy and the VPPA; and
WHEREAS, DISYS, Solutions Inc. has provided a quote in the amount of$298,797.60
dated June 11, 2015 that is within the Town's budget for this item from the Capital Asset
Replacement Fund; and
WHEREAS,the Interim Information Technology Manager recommends an award of
contract for network switch upgrades to DISYS Solutions Inc.; and
WHEREAS, the Technology and Communications Commission is aware of the need for
the project as part of their review of the Fiscal Year 16 proposal; and
WHEREAS, the Leesburg Town Council approved$300,000 in the approved Fiscal Year
2016 budget for the Capital Asset Replacement fund for the replacement and upgrade of the
networking switches.
THEREFORE RESOLVED, by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that the
contract for the network switches upgrade project is hereby awarded to DISYS Solutions Inc. in

the amount of$298,797.60, and the Town Manager is hereby authorized to proceed accordingly
with the respective contract in a form acceptable to the Town Attorney.
