A RESOLUTION: AUTHORIZING THE TOWN MANAGER TO EXECUTE A 10-YEAR
LEASE EXTENSION BETWEEN THE TOWN OF LEESBURG AND
PROJET AVIATION,LLC,FOR FIXED BASED OPERATOR ACTIVITIES
AT THE LEESBURG EXECUTIVE AIRPORT
WHEREAS, on or about January 18, 1996, the Town of Leesburg ("Town") entered into a
Lease Agreement with American Beechcraft Company to lease a portion of the Town's property at the
Leesburg Executive Airport("Airport") for the purpose of conducting fixed base operator activities
and to provide services to customers of the Airport; and
WHEREAS, this Lease Agreement became effective on February 1, 1996; and
WHEREAS, American Beechcraft Company assigned this Lease Agreement, with the
permission of the Town,to Landmark Aviation(formerly known as Piedmont/Hawthorne Holdings
and Piedmont Hawthorne Aviation), on or about June 23, 1998; and
WHEREAS, Landmark Aviation assigned this Lease Agreement,with the permission of the
Town,to ProJet Aviation, LLC ("ProJet") on or about September 25, 2012; and
WHEREAS, the term of the Lease Agreement ends on January 31, 2016, unless a 10-year
extension is granted by the Town; and
WHEREAS,Town staff and ProJet,through legal counsel,have negotiated the terms of the 10-
year Lease Extension Agreement and have agreed to the terms thereof; and
WHEREAS,the Lease Extension Agreement has been referred to the Airport Commission for
review pursuant to the Leesburg Airport Rules,Regulations and Minimum Standards and the Airport
Commission endorses the Lease Extension Agreement to the Town Council; and

THEREFORE, RESOLVED, by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that the
Lease Extension Agreement is approved and the Town Manager is authorized to execute the 10-year
Lease Extension Agreement with ProJet Aviation, LLC, in a form approved by the Town Attorney.
