During the fiscal year, construction projects, when bid, may come in under budget.
As well, projects may be delayed due to permitting or easement acquisition issues.
When this occurs, there is unused funding in the Capital Program. This unused
funding can be reallocated to allow additional construction projects to proceed during the
fiscal year, if other projects planned in future fiscal years are ready to be bid.
The projects described in this section are not programmed in the 2011-2012
Capital Improvement and Replacement Program, but there is the possibility that their
schedules may proceed in such a manner as to enable them to be constructed in Fiscal
Year 2012, if funding becomes available.
These 13 projects, totaling $ 3,809,000, are being presented in the Budget
Supplement to fulfill the requirements for public hearings for projects in the Capital
Program. If funding becomes available, and scheduling allows, the District may seek
Board approval to add these projects to the 2011-2012 Capital Improvement and
Replacement Program.
