The Council of the Village of Medina met in regular session on Tuesday, Jgly 3,

Discussed Dennis Burgess Plat. Moved by Robert Franklin to approve Resolution
73-74 approving Plat of Burgess Lakeshore Estates; WHEREAS the Medina Village
Pla ning Commission has recommended approval of the plat of Burgess Lakeshore
Estates following a public hearing where no opposition was expressed; NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVIM THAT THE Medina Village Council does hereby approve
the plat of Burgess Lakeshore 2states subject to the following conditions:
1. The development shall meet the Statewide Standards and Criteria for
Management of Shoreland Ares of Minnesota adopted by the Department of Con-
servation on June0, 1970, as they pertain to a recreational development
lake, except that setbacks for soil absorption systems shall be at least WO
feet from the shoreline; 2. Soil absorption systems shall also meet the
1971 Individual Sewage Dispsal System Code of the Minnesota Department woes
Health; 3. Site plans showing locations of residences and other struc typs,
wells, and sewage systems shall be subject to approval by the Zoning
Administrator, who shall pay particular attention to determing that the
bottom of drain field trenches shall be at least 4 feet above the high water 4
level as determined by the Village Engineer, especially on Lot 1. 4. Road
entry to Highway 55 is approved by the Minnesota Highway Department. 5. The
road has been upgraded to Village standards before any lots are sold or, in
the alternative, a bond or escrow fund in the amount recommended by the
Village Engineer is posted to assure that the road will be upgraded to Village
standar's within 60 months, said bond or escrow fund to be posted before
issuance of the first building permit. 6. A copy of these conditions
is filed with the Register of Deeds. 7. The platting fee of 8150.00 and in
lieu park fee of A1175 have been paid.

C. 0. Dorweiler and Terry Roehl appeared with regard to the sewer stub on the
former Gilmer property, now Terry Roehl - there is no stub on the line. Moved
by Thomas Stevens to authorize Leo Leuer and Donald Des Lauriers to check the
sewer hook-up on the Terry Roehl property and they will decide who will do the
digging for the stub.

Raymond Davis appeared with regard to his sewer problem. Moved by Robert
Franklin that the ouncil grant Raymond Davis permission to construct a drain -
field on the/joining his property provided that it is approved by the Village
'='ngineer; the reiuired distance from the neighbor's well and that the land-
scape is substantially the same after the work is done and that hook-up to
municipal sewer be done as soon as possible.

from 7 P. M. to 1 A. M. to Bruce Wandrei, to take place at Medina-1 orningside
with no charge.

and selling some unused streets.

Discussed the over crowding of the Independence Beach Park. Referred referred
the matter of limiting the use to Medina rei$dents only to D. Schieffer.
Bob Scott appeared with regard the property of the Harry and AmeliaAEstate.
Moved by Robert Franklin to grant a variance for permission to transfer
the Gast 13 feet of the West 243 Feet of the SW SE4 14-118-23, lying north
of center line of Medina Road and a variance of a reduced set -back for the
barn provided that the parcel to which the 13 feet shall be added, thall
total five acres or platted.

as architect for the new Village Hall at $18.00 per hour or 7.4

Discussed the recommendation of Planning Commission with regard to water in
Independence Beach Area. Moved by Robert Franklin that we ask the Village
Engineer to give us a prelininary engineering feasibility report on the
water to cost from : 300.00 to ,h500.00.

on January 2, 1973.
