HomeMy Public PortalAbout2015_09_22_R107 Approving the Physical Location for Redevelopment of the Skatepark The Town of Leesburg, Virginia PRESENTED September 22, 2015 RESOLUTION NO.2015-107 ADOPTED September 22, 2015 A RESOLUTION: APPROVING THE PHYSICAL LOCATION FOR THE REVEDLOPMENT OF THE CATOCTIN SKATEPARK WHEREAS, as part of the Town of Leesburg Fiscal Year 2016-2021 Capital Improvements Program, Council approved $544,800 for the redevelopment of the Catoctin SkatePark; and WHEREAS, Council has explored the options of relocating the skatepark to an adjacent lot on Catoctin Circle,the Douglass School site, and Ida Lee Park; and WHEREAS, it is estimated that any relocation of the skatepark will escalate the total project costs by $260,000. THEREFORE RESOLVED, by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows: SECTION 1. The Catoctin Skatepark will be redeveloped on the gravel lot located adjacent to the existing skatepark. SECTION 2. Council requests the Loudoun County Rescue Squad contribute $260,000 to the cost of the relocation. PASSED this 22nd day of September, 2015.
