A RESOLUTION: AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2016 BUDGET AND MAKING AN
APPROPRIATION OF A PROFFER IN THE AMOUNT OF $15,000 TO
INSTALL PEDESTRIAN SAFETY IMPROVEMENTS ON HOPE
PARKWAY
WHEREAS,the Oaklawn development project proffered $15,000 for a pedestrian activated
flashing warning sign on Hope Parkway at Whipp Drive; and
WHEREAS,pedestrians need to safely cross Hope Parkway to the pool and club house; and
WHEREAS, a pedestrian activated flashing warning sign will enhance public safety in this
area; and
WHEREAS,this Oaklawn proffer can only be used for a pedestrian activated flashing
warning sign.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that the Fiscal
Year 2016 General Fund Operating Budget for the Department of Public Works and Capital Projects is
hereby amended and an appropriation of a proffer is made in the amount of$15,000 for a pedestrian
activated flashing warning sign on Hope Parkway at Whipp Drive.
