RESOLUTION NO. 2015-114 ADOPTED October 13,2015
A RESOLUTION: AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF A BOOM MOWER USING
CAPITAL ASSET REPLACEMENT FUNDS.
WHEREAS,the purchase of a new boom mower was included in the Fiscal Year 2016
budget; and
WHEREAS,the current boom mower is fifteen years old and is in poor condition; and
WHEREAS,the existing piece of equipment has reached a point where it is no longer cost
effective to keep in the current inventory of equipment; and
WHEREAS,there is a rideable contract available to procure this equipment; and
WHEREAS,the budget established for the replacement equipment is sufficient for the
purchase; and
WHERAS,no additional funding is needed.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that the
Town Manager is authorized to proceed with the purchase of the new boom mower in the amount
of$118,372.25.
