RESOLUTION NO.2015-119 ADOPTED October 13, 2015
A RESOLUTION: REQUEST FOR CAPITAL PROJECT FUNDING FROM THE COUNTY OF
LOUDOUN IN THE FISCAL YEAR 2017 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT
PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, the County of Loudoun solicits capital funding requests from Towns annually
as part of the County's Capital Improvement Program development process;
WHEREAS, the Town of Leesburg Capital Improvement Program includes many projects
that will mutually serve both the Town of Leesburg and the County of Loudoun;
WHEREAS, the Town has identified seven projects in the current Fiscal Year 2016-2021
Capital Improvement Program that require future funding totaling $8,408,138 including Tuscarora
Creek Restoration, Town-wide Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) Pond Rehabilitations,
Battlefield Parkway Improvements, Evergreen Mill Road Widening, Traffic Management/
Emergency Evacuation System Improvements, Veterans Park, and Catoctin Skate Park
Renovation.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED, by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that the
Town Council respectfully submits a capital funding request in the amount of $8,408,138 for
consideration during the County of Loudoun's Fiscal Year 2017 budget development
deliberations.
