A RESOLUTION: AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT CONTRACT TO
VOLKERT, INC. IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $495, 634.02
FOR THE ROUTE 15 (SOUTH KING STREET) WIDENING PHASE II
PROJECT
WHEREAS, in response to a public solicitation for Construction Management and
Project Inspection Services for the Route 15 (South King Street) Widening Phase II project, eight
proposals were received from the following firms:
• Alpha Corporation • MBP
• A. Morton Thomas and Associates, Inc. • Rummel, Klepper&Kahl, LLP
• ATCS, P.L.C. • Volkert, Inc.
• Gannett Fleming, Inc. • Whitman, Requardt&Associates, LLP
WHEREAS,the proposals were evaluated by an evaluation committee in accordance with
the Town's procurement policy and the requirements of the Request for Proposals; and
WHEREAS,the selection committee selected Volkert,Inc.to be the top ranked firm; and
WHEREAS, the Chief of Procurement and the Director of Public Works and Capital
Projects recommends award of Construction Management and Project Inspection Services for the
Route 15 (South King Street) Widening Phase II project to Volkert, Inc. in an amount not to
exceed $495,634.02.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that the
Town Manager is authorized to execute a contract, in a form approved by the Town Attorney, for
Construction Management and Project Inspection Services for the Route 15 (South King Street)
Widening Phase II project with Volkert, Inc. in amount not to exceed $495,634.02.
