A RESOLUTION: REQUESTING THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF
TRANSPORTATION TO ACCEPT CERTAIN STREETS
WHEREAS, the Town is requesting the Virginia Department of Transportation(VDOT)to
accept certain streets; and
WHEREAS,there are two streets that have recently been completed and are eligible to
request maintenance funding; and
WHEREAS, the streets being requested are a section of Hope Parkway from Miller Drive
to Whipp Drive and a section of Fort Evans Road from Menlow Drive to the eastern corporate
limits.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that the
Virginia Department of Transportation(VDOT) is requested to accept into the VDOT Urban
Highway System for Maintenance Payments the following: 0.66 lane miles of Fort Evans Road
(27' width); 1.16 lane miles of Hope Parkway(52'width).
