AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE 2005 -12, AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE SIZE OF
THE DEPARTMENTS OF CI'T'Y GOVERNMENT OF THE CITY OF GREENCASTLE, INDIANA, FIXING
SALARIES FOR THE EMPLOYEES OF SUCH DEPAR'T'MENTS AND FIXING THE SALARIES OF
CERTAIN OTHER APPOINTED OFFICIALS FOR THE YEAR 2006
WHEREAS, Ordinance 2005 -12 established the salaries for employees of the City of Greencastle for
the year 2006;
WHEREAS, the City of Greencastle will have revenues which will not be spent by the end of 2006;
WHEREAS, employees received a small increase in their yearly salary for 2006, and the City wishes to
supplement those salaries.
NOW THEREFORE be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Greencastle that it hereby
amends Ordinance 2005 -12 to raise the salary of each employee listed in that Ordinance, who has been
employed on a full -time basis since January 1, 2006, by $500.00. The salaries for all other current employees,
excluding seasonal employees and crossing guards, shall be increased by $250.00. This increase shall apply to
salaries for 2006 only and shall not be added to each employee's base salary for the purpose of salary
calculations for following years.
This Ordinance shall have full force and effect upon passage of the Greencastle Common Council and
its approval by the Mayor.
