AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL,
ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM
THE FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION
WHEREAS, The Federal Aviation Administration has grant funding available; and
WHEREAS, the Richmond Municipal Airport desires to submit a grant application to purchase and install a new Automated Weather Observation System (AWOS); and
WHEREAS, a local match of Sixty-nine Thousand Four Hundred Forty-four Dollars ($69,444.00) is required for this grant.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, as follows:
1. The Richmond Municipal Airport is hereby authorized to submit a grant application to the Federal Aviation Administration to purchase and install a new AWOS.
2. The Richmond Municipal Airport is authorized to accept said grant funding in an amount up to Forty-eight Thousand Five Hundred Fifty-six Dollars ($48,556.00).
3. Said Funds, if awarded to the City of Richmond, shall be appropriated to purchase and install a new AWOS.
Passed and adopted this 4th day of March, 2002, by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana.
