No Trash Collection in Leesburg on Christmas Day
or New Year’s Day
Bulk Item Collection Schedule Unchanged for December 28, 2012
Leesburg, VA (December 12, 2012) – There will be no trash collection on Tuesday, December
25, 2012, or Tuesday, January 1, 2013, in the Town of Leesburg.
For residential customers in Northeast and Northwest quadrants of Town, trash will be
collected on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 and Wednesday, January 2, 2013. Customers are
requested to place their trash at the curb after 4:00pm the day before collection.
For curbside commercial customers, trash will be collected on Wednesday, December 26, 2012
and Wednesday, January 2, 2013.
The bulk item collection will occur as normally scheduled on Friday, December 28, 2012.
Residents must submit requests for bulk item pick up before 12 noon on Thursday, December
27, 2012. Pick up requests can be submitted by phone (703-771-2790), email
(trash@leesburgva.gov) or online form (www.leesburgva.gov/index.aspx?page=156). Please
include your name, phone number, address and a description of the items to be collected.
As a reminder, Town of Leesburg offices will be closed on Monday through Wednesday,
December 24, 25 and 26, 2012, for the Christmas holiday. Town offices will also be closed on
Monday, December 31, 2012 and Tuesday, January 1, 2013, in observance of the New Year’s
holiday.
