January 16,2013 -Minutes
A meeting of the Site Plan Review Committee was called to order at 10:00 a.m. in Skaket Meeting Room
at the Orleans Town Hall. Departments Present: George Meservey(Planning); Bob Canning(Health);
Chief William Quinn (Fire);Brian Harrison(Building);John Jannell(Conservation)Todd Bunzick
(Water); Mark Budnick(Highway).
FORMAL REVIEW: Hole in One Restaurant, 98 Route 6A
Joyce Cuming(Aline Architecture)described changes made to the Formal Site Plan for the Hole in One
Restaurant located at 98 Route 6A. Cuming stated they have been granted a variance from the
Architectural Review Committee not to have an elevator provided handicap access is provided from the
outside to each floor. Stormwater runoff from the roof will be collected in rain barrels.
Comments:
Fire: The hood system must warn inhabitants of building on both floors—this is
normally done with a fire alarm system.
Building: There are no Building Department comments.
Water: Need a curb cut permit from the State even though it is a pre-existing building.
Need to provide a more detailed plan with utilities shown.
Health: Need to show the reserve area on the property. Need to show a full floor and
seating plan. No additional seating can be provided or it will change the flow
calculations.
Conservation: There are no Conservation Department comments.
Highway: There are no Highway Department comments.
There was a consensus of the Site Plan Review Committee that this application will have to come back
with additional information shown on the Formal Site Plan.
Approval of Minutes: January 2, 2013
MOTION: On a motion by Bob Canning, seconded by Brian Harrison,the Committee voted to
approve the minutes of January 2,2013, as amended.
VOTE: 6-0-1 The motion passed by a majority. (Chief William Quinn abstained)
The meeting adjourned at 10:25 a.m.
