A RESOLUTION: APPLICATION FOR THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF
TRANSPORTATION FISCAL YEAR 2017 PRIMARY EXTENSION
PAVING PROGRAM FUNDING
WHEREAS,the Virginia Department of Transportation(VDOT)is accepting applications
for Primary Extension Paving funds for Fiscal Year 2017; and
WHEREAS,the application for Fiscal Year 2017 Primary Extension Paving Program
funds up to the maximum allowed amount of$1,000,000 includes milling,resurfacing and related
improvements to portions of the Route 15 Bypass north of East Market Street(Route 7), King
Street and Market Street; and
WHEREAS,VDOT Primary Extension Paving Program provides for 100%funding of the
estimated costs of each project, up to a maximum amount of$1,000,000 per jurisdiction per year.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as
follows:
SECTION I. The Town Council supports this application for up to $1,000,000 through the
VDOT Primary Extension Paving Program for milling and repaving portions of the Route 15
Bypass north of East Market Street(Route 7), King Street and Market Street.
SECTION II. The Town Manager is authorized to execute any and all documents
associated with the grant application.
