A RESOLUTION: AUTHORIZING THE TOWN MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE
PROGRAMMATIC PROJECT ADMINISTRATIVE AGREEMENT
EXTENSION FOR THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF
TRANSPORTATION REVENUE SHARING PROGRAM
WHEREAS,the Virginia Department of Transportation(VDOT)offers funding for eligible
roadway improvement projects under the Revenue Sharing Program; and
WHEREAS,under the Revenue Sharing Program, VDOT provides funding for 50%of
eligible project costs, and the Town is responsible for the remainder; and
WHEREAS,beginning in fiscal year 2014,VDOT implemented a program that eliminated
the need for individual funding agreements for projects funded solely by Revenue Sharing funds
by implementing a Programmatic Project Administration Agreement which covered all projects
with a locality; and
WHEREAS,on July 19, 2013 the Town executed a Programmatic Project Administration
Agreement with VDOT for projects funded solely with Revenue Sharing funds; and
WHEREAS,this agreement has a term of three fiscal years and will expire on June 30,
2016; and
WHEREAS,an extension addendum will extend the agreement for three years,until June
30,2019.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as
follows:
SECTION I. The Council of the Town of Leesburg hereby commits to fund its local share
of preliminary engineering,right-of-way and construction(as applicable) of the project(s)under

agreement with the Virginia Department of Transportation in accordance with the project financial
document(s).
SECTION II. The Town Manager is authorized to execute any and all agreements and/or
addendums for any approved Revenue Sharing projects with the Virginia Department of
Transportation.
