CITY OF MEDINA
RESOLUTION NO.2018-80
A RESOLUTION APPROVING CANVASS OF RETURNS AND DECLARING THE
RESULTS OF THE MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD ON NOVEMBER 6, 2018
WHEREAS, a Municipal Election was held at the General Election on Tuesday,
November 6, 2018, to vote on the offices of Mayor and two Council Members; and the official
returns of the election judges were presented; and
WHEREAS, said returns were duly examined, approved, and placed on file in the Office
of the City Clerk; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Medina
that it is hereby found, determined, and declared that the Regular Municipal Election held in and
for the City of Medina on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 was in all respects duly held and the
returns thereof have been duly canvassed, the votes cast at said election were:
MAYOR, Two-year term, beginning the first Monday of January 2019.
Kathleen M. Martin Received 2,191 Votes
John G. Anderson Received 1060 Votes
Write -Ins Received 18 Votes
Undervotes Received 257 Votes
Overvotes Received 1 Votes
Total 3,527 Votes
COUNCIL MEMBER, Four-year term, Two Seats, beginning the first Monday of
January 2019.
Todd M. Albers Received 2,112 Votes
Dino DesLauriers Received 1,774 Votes
Write -Ins Received 72 Votes
Undervotes Received 3,096 Votes
Overvotes Received 0 Votes
Total 7,054 Votes
Other election statistics include:
On November 6, 2018, there were 4,230 registered voters at 7:00 a.m. and 159 persons
registered to vote on Election Day. The total is 4,389 registered voters on Election Day.
