LYNWOOD SHINES EXPO APPROPRIATIONS RESOLUTION Comments: At the May 30, 2001 and the August 9, 2001 Special City Council Meetings, staff introduced the Lynwood Shines Expo concept and directed staff to proceed with the planning. To implement directions received from the City Council staff prepared the attached resolution on the appropriation of funds for this program. Recommendation; Staff recommends for the City Council to adopt the attached resolution authorizing the appropriation of $25,000 for the Lynwood Shines Expo. 5. Mike Herek ADJOURNMENT MOTION TO ADJOURN TO A REGULAR MEETING TO BE HELD ON OCTOBER 2, 2001 AT 6:00 P.M. IN COUNCIL CHAMBER ROOM, CITY HALL, CITY OF LYNWOOD, CALIFORNIA. RESOLUTION NO. A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING A $25,000 BUDGET FOR LYNWOOD SHINES 2001 EXPO WHEREAS, Lynwood shines 2001 campaign is designed to achieve aggressive clean up and beautification City wide to enhance property values: WHEREAS, Lynwood Shines 2001 represents an outstanding opportunity to combine extensive clean up efforts along with community outreach, education and awareness; WHEREAS, the City is planning an extraordinary community event "Lynwood Shines 2001 EXPO" dedicated to providing community awareness and education; WHEREAS, a preliminary budget for the event is estimated at $25,000; WHEREAS, Business owners, community organizations and area residents are invited to participate and support this event; WHEREAS, Sponsorships of the event are encouraged to underwrite the cost of the EXPO. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lynwood as follows: Section l: That the City Manager is authorized to make the following fund transfer: From Unappropriated General Fund $12,500 Water Fnnr~ To Lynwood Shines 2001 EXPO $25,000 $12,500 Section 2: This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
