AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL,
ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM
THE INDIANA CRIMINAL JUSTICE INSTITUTE
WHEREAS, The Indiana Criminal Justice Institute has grant funding available; and
WHEREAS, the City of Richmond desires to submit a grant application on behalf of the YWCA to assist with the expenses of the Genesis program; and
WHEREAS, a local match of Fourteen Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($14,500.00) is required for this grant.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, as follows:
1. The City of Richmond is hereby authorized to submit a grant application to the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute to assist with the expenses of the Genesis program.
2. The City of Richmond is authorized to accept said grant funding in an amount up to Fifty-Eight Thousand Dollars ($58,000.00).
3. Said Funds, if awarded to the City of Richmond, shall be appropriated to assist with the expenses of the Genesis program.
Passed and adopted this 4th day of March, 2002, by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana.
