Pledge of Allegiance II. Call to Order; Roll Call Mayor William Dory called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM; upon roll by Clerk- Treasurer Lynda Dunbar the following were present: Mark Hammer, Adam Cohen, Stacie Langdon, Veronica Pejril, Cody Eckert, Dave Murray and Tyler Wade. III. Public Petitions and Comments: None IV. Special Requests A. Street Closure Request- Putnam County 4H Fair Parade- Nancy Michael- No Action Taken B. Street Closure Request- Moore's Bar & Grill- Julie & Pete Meyer- Motion by Adam Cohen to close Indiana Street for 24 hours a day starting May 15 until July 3, 2020, second by Veronica Pejril, 7-0 roll call, motion carried. V. Department Reports: A. Cemetery — Ernie Phillips B. Engineer— C. Fire Department— John Burgess D. Park and Recreation — Rod Weinschenk E. Planner— Scott Zimmerman F. Police Department—Tom Sutherlin G. Department of Public Works — Brad Phillips H. Water &Wastewater Department— Oscar King I. City Attorney - Laurie Robertson Hardwick VI. Reports A. Mayor's Report- Mayor updated the council on the following items: • Continue to follow CDC guidelines related to the Coronavirus and city is doing well with PPE's. • Development Center has loan dollars available for businesses. • Re-opening plans have been distributed out to department heads • City is moving forward with some of the mowing bids received by the city. • Beginning to work on budgets and hope to get some revenue projection from DLGF. • 231 public meeting has been postponed. • City Parks are open but please practice social distancing B. Clerk-Treasurer's Report- SBOA had finished our 2019 audit and we had our exit conference that morning. We are current on all of our audits. C. Councilors' Report- Mark Hammer Thank you Tyler for your service and you will be missed. Adam Cohen- Thank you Tyler, I have enjoyed working with you. Stacie Langdon Tyler Wade you will be missed. Thank you Bill for your leadership during these hard times. Veronica Pejril We will miss you and your sense of humor Tyler. Cody Eckert- Good luck to you Tyler. Dave Murray- Thank you Tyler for your wit and wisdom and your service. Tyler Wade- Thank you for your kind words, I have enjoyed my time on council. VII. Approval of Minutes A. Regular Session-April 9, 2020 Motion by Tyler Wade to approve April 9, 2020 minutes as presented, second by Mark Hammer, 7-0 roll call, motion carried VIII. Approval of City Claims A. Motion by Mark Hammer to approve claims as presented, second by Dave Murray, 7-0 roll call, motion carried. IX. Old Business- A. School Board discussion- Two applications were received. Council decided to have a special session on May 21 stating at 6:00-6:45 for candidate one and 7:00-7:45 for candidate two. May 28, 2020 will be back up date if candidates cannot attend on the 215t X.
