The Council of the Village of Medina met in regular session Wednesdu evening,
July 5, 1967 at 7:32 P. M.

Minutes of the previous meeting of June 6, 1967 read. Moved by Raymond Bosch
that the minutes be approved as read.
Seconded by Rayburn Anderson.
Motion carried.
Minutes of the special meeting of June 12, 1967 read. Moved by Arthur Theis
that the minutes be approved as read.
Seconded by Rayburn Anderson.
Motion carried.
Minutes of the Board of Review meeting of June 20, 1967 read. Moved by Harold
Winterhalter that the minutes be approved as read.
Seconded by Raymond Bosch.
Motion carried.

Minutes of the Planning Commission meeting of June 19, 1967 read.
Mrs. George Pittelkow appeared with regard to transfer of 15 feet of lake shore
from Mrs. Moran to the Pittelkows - Council had no objection. Mr. Gubbins is
checking.
Beverly Pettit appeared with request to move out of the Village and still
have their liquor license. Moved by Rayburn Anderson to grant the Pettits
two months for residence outside of Medina Village, .to enable them to find
a residence in the Village.

Motion carried.
Opening of bids for blacktopping on Medina #87. Moved by Rayburn Anderson to
authorize the Mayor and Clerk to sign the contract with the lowest -bidder,
which appears to be Buffalo Bituminous.
Seconded by Arthur Theis.

Moved by Arthur Theis that we appoint Tom Stevens to a three year term on the
Planning Commission.
Seconded by Raymond Bosch.
Motion carried.
Moved by Harold Winterhalter to appoint Everett Thies to a two year term on
the Planning Commission.
Seconded by Rayburn Anderson.
Motion carried.
Moved by Raymond Bosch to renew membership in the Hennepin County League of
Municipalities.
Seconded by Harold Winterhalter.
Motion carried. --
Letter teed from the State of Minnesota with regard to the 2% State Aid
Apportionment to fire departments.
The following letters were read: One from Hennepin County Library Board with
regard to tax levy - One from the CountyAuditor with regard to Junior College
land sites - One from Minneapolis Gas Compare.0 giving andual report.
There were a number of weed complaints and also complaint of an outside toilet
being built in the Beach area.
A letter from the Minehaha Creek Watershed District,was read and Rayburn
Anderson volunteered to go to a meeting the 4th Thursday in July at 7:30 P. M.
in the Wayzata City Hall.
Jack Lehtinen appeared and wanted a beer license for Lakeview - no action was
taken as the place is unsafe for public use.
A letter from Gov. Levander was read with regard to the Metroplitan Council.
Moved by Rayburn Anderson to pay the bills; payroll in the amount of $1749.83
and order checks in the amount of $6351.64.
Seconded by Harold Winterhalter.
Motion carried.
Robert Roehl gave a report with regard to land for new village hall -
recommended Ferrell property. Moved by Rayburn Anderson to appoint 'Harold
Winterhalter to head a committee to look into the purchase of the Ferrell
property and negotiate a price that he feels will be acceptable to the
Village Council.
Seconded by Arthur Theis.
Motion carried.
Moved by Rayburn Anderson that the meeting adjourn.
