A RESOLUTION: APPOINTMENT OF STANLEY F. CAULICINS AS EMERITUS
MEMBER OF THE LEESBURG EXECUTIVE AIRPORT
COMMISSION
WHEREAS, Stanley F. Caulkins has been a resident of the Town of Leesburg for nearly
80 years; and
WHEREAS, he has served the Town in a variety of capacities including a member of the
Leesburg Town Council from 1961 to 1963 and the Leesburg Executive Airport Commission
from 1963 to 1968 and 2003 to present; and
WHEREAS. Mr. Caulkins was instrumental in the creation of the Leesburg Executive
Airport in 1964, and in 2003 the Leesburg Town Council unanimously voted to name the
Leesburg Executive Airport Terminal Building in his honor; and
WHEREAS, his past work with state and federal officials secured millions of dollars in
grants to improve the airport, and completion of numerous capital improvement projects that
enhanced the safety and capacity of the Leesburg Executive Airport.
THEREFORE. RESOLVED that the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia hereby
appoints Stanley F. Caulkins as an Emeritus Member of the Leesburg Executive Airport
Commission.
