Moved by Donald Des Lauriers to grant an off sale iwb oxicating liquor license to Joe and Irene's Bottle Shop, Inc., subject to receipt of 1:1000.00 liquor bond and receipt of number of the retailer's identification curd issued by:the Liquor Control Commi:sion and ema receipt of the number of the Federal Retail Dliquor Dealer's Tax Stamp number/ Seconded by Arthur Theis Motion carried., Moved by Arthur Theis to issue a cigarette license to Joe and Irene's Bottle Shop, Iric. Sw,,nson reported we have 83,073.00 of Aid to Municipalities must be spent in the next three years. R. Franklin gave a report on sewer questionaire. People in Independence Beach and Medina-Morningside generally favor baxx getting sewer. 86 , Robert Feser and Ray Kerschiel appeared with regard to Park Boundaries. Moved by Robert Franklin to do the following: 1 - Write a letter to the Park notifying them of the requests for change of boundaries; 2 - Contact the property owners we believe may not be essential to the Park in the'southern area; 3 -To draw up a resolution on the matter before the next meeting. George Gu bins will look up the law on acquiring villages taking over cemeteries. Moved by Thomas Stevens to pass Resolution 72-13 as follows: HEPEAS Hennepin County Toad 24 has two curves within a distance of approximately one-half mile between Brockton Lane and Hunter Drive in the Village of Medina, 0nd traffic hazards within this area includetbe.Holy.Name Church and Holy Name Lake; a;.d 1.'11-LERAS advisory speed signs of 40 and 45 miles per hour are.now erected in this area; and WH.S HeNNEpin County Road 19 is heavily travelled between U. S. Highway 12 and Ardmore Ave. and this area includes entrance to a liquor store, a Hennepin County park, a tavern -resort and several areas of homes; and WHEREAS .part but not all of this area is zoned for a 45 miles per .hour limit; and WHEREAS both County Roads 19 and 24 have been sub.jacted.to greatly increased..traffic by the Highway 55 detour; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED th.-It the Medina Village Council hereby requests t'-.at the Minnesotr Highway Department set the following speed limits: 0n County Road 24, 40 miles per hour between Brockton Lane and Hunter Drive. Moved by Thomas Stevens to adopt the recommendations of the Planning Commission mmatimgx at their May 15th and June 19th meetings with regard to the RA Ordinance. Seconded by Donald Des Lauriers.
