AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 4 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF
JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, RELATING TO SUNDAY SALES OF ALCOHOL.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Sec. 4-20, (Opening and closing hours), subparagraph (F) of the Code
of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, is amended as follows:
Sec.4-20. Opening and closing hours.
F. Notwithstanding any other provisions of this chapter to the contrary,or any licensee authorized to
sell intoxicating liquor by the drink may apply for,and the board of liquor control may issue,a
license to sell intoxicating liquor on a single specified Sunday between the hours of 11:00 a.m.and
midnight by the drink at retail for consumption on the premises`described in the application. All
provisions of this chapter shall apply to persons or organizations licensed under this subsection. In
addition to all other fees required by law or this Code,a licensee seeking a license under this
section shall pay an additional fee of fifty dollars($50.00)for each application,payable at the time
of application to the board of liquor control,provided the fee for a licensee's first application
for such license shall be waived.State law reference-Similar provisions,RSMo. §311.090.City

Section 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date
of its passage and approval.
