PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT FOR ENGINEERING
SERVICES
WHEREAS, there exists a need for professional services toinvestigate and prepare
engineering reports, drawings and specifications for sewer improvements in the
Chrome Area.
WHEREAS, pursuant to NJ.SA. 40A: 11-5(1)(a) professional services are exempt
from the requirements of competitive bidding; and
WHEREAS the local Finance Officer has certified that funds are available;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Council of the
Borough of Carteret does hereby approve the appointment of Shoreline Services at
· maximum cost not to exceed $24,000.00, billable per attached contract.
IE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and Borough Clerk are hereby
tuthodzed to execute said contract.
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that the contract is awarded without competitive
)ids in accordance with N.JS.A.40A:ll-5(1)(a) due to the specialized and
rofessional nature of the services provided.
IE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a notice of this action be printed once in The
tome News and Tribune on June 11, 1996.
Adopted this 6th day of June, 1996
and certified as a true copy of the
original on June 7, 1996.
