APPOINTING REV. TARAS CHUBENKO POLICE CHAPLAIN
WHEREAS, the Chief of Police has determined that the need exists for a Chaplain
in the Police Department; and
WHEREAS, the Very Reverend Taras Chubenko has distinguished himself within
the Borough of Carteret, having served on the Board of Education, the Carteret
Housing Authority, as well as other municipal committees; and
WHEREAS, "Father Taras" has given countless hours to the Borough Fire
Department while serving as Chaplain;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Council of the
Borough of Carteret hereby officially designate
THE VERY REVEREND TARAS CHUBENKO
Pastor of St. Demetrius Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral as Chaplain of the Carteret
Police Department.
Adopted this 6th day of June, 1996
and certified as a true copy of the
original on June 7, 1996.
