Meeting Minutes
The Committee on Personnel and Town Organization met on Wednesday, June 3, 2015,
at 5:15 PM in the Council Office. Present at the meeting were Councilors Susan Falkoff, Chair,
Cecilia Lenk, Vice Chair, and Stephen Corbett, Secretary. Also present were Mark Sideris,
Council President, Tom Tracy, Auditor, and Gayle Shattuck, Director of Personnel.
The purpose of the meeting was to update the Job Description for the Clerk of the Town
Council.
The Committee Members had previously received a copy of the current Job Description
as well as examples for similar positions at surrounding communities. Ms. Shattuck distributed
a few additional examples at the beginning of the meeting.
The Committee reviewed the exiting Job Description in detail, and numerous
modifications were suggested and agreed to by all present. The committee also discussed the
hours and wage scale for the position.
Ms. Shattuck will redraft the document and it will be appended to these minutes.
The Committee voted to recommend the revised Job Description to the Council for
adoption.
