HomeMy Public PortalAbout2023 Hydrant Painting Advertisement 2 CONTRACT PROPOSAL ADVERTISEMENT VILLAGE OF PLAINFIELD, ILLINOIS 1. Time and Place of Opening Proposals. The Village of Plainfield will receive and accept bids ONLY through QuestCDN.com via their electronic VirtuBid™ online bid service. The Village of Plainfield will receive electronic bids online until 10:00 AM on July 27, 2023. There will be a non-refundable fee for submitting a bid. See below for QuestCDN project number and visit the QuestCDN website (www.questcdn.com) for access. 2. Description of Work. An approximate statement of work to be completed as follows: Perform fire hydrant blasting and painting work within the Village Limits of Plainfield, Illinois. 3. Information for Bidders. Bidders must purchase contract documents through Quest Construction Data Network (QuestCDN). Visit the QuestCDN website (www.questcdn.com) for access. Use the seven-digit QuestCDN project number 8579555 to locate the job on the QuestCDN website search page. There is a non-refundable fee for downloading the contract documents in a pdf format. Bids will not be accepted from any prospective bidder who has not purchased contract documents through QuestCDN. To be considered for the bid a Contractor must have a minimum of three (3) years previous municipal fire hydrant painting experience. The Village of Plainfield is exempt from the Illinois State, municipal or county Retailers Occupation Tax, Service Occupation Tax, Use Tax, and Service Use Tax as described in Illinois Compiled Statute Chapter 35. Bid prices shall not include the cost of such taxes. Following contract award by the Plainfield Village Board, a Performance Bond will be required from the selected contractor(s) in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total cost of the proposal. 4. Rejection of Proposals. The Board of Trustees reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals and to waive technicalities. Unless the Proposals are rejected for good cause, award of contract shall be made to the lowest responsible and responsive Bidder. Dated at Plainfield, Illinois this 11th day of July 2023.
