A RESOLUTION SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING TO AMEND THE SUBDIVISION
ORDINANCE TO ALLOW FOR PRIVATE SEWAGE DISPOSAL SYSTEMS
Whereas, The City recognizes that it is not prepared to bring sewer service to certain
new developments within the city limits and;
Whereas the City Council of the City of Tiffin recognizes that' the current City Ordinance
does not allow for septic systems to be installed within the city limits;
Now, therefore be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa to approve
setting a public hearing date for 08/28/13.
On the 14th day of August, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin, Iowa,
Councilperson Bartels introduced Resolution No. 2013-148, A RESOLUTION
SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING TO AMEND THE SUBDIVISION ORDINANCE TO
ALLOW FOR PRIVATE SEWAGE DISPOSAL SYSTSMS and made a_ motion for
approval. Motion seconded by Councilperson Kahler.
Ayes: Phillips. Upton, Bartels, Ryan, Kahler
Nays: none.
Absent: none.
Whereupon five Council members were'present and voted approval and Mayor Berner
declared that the Resolution No. 2013-148, A RESOLUTION SETTING A PUBLIC
HEARING TO AMEND THE SUBDIVISION ORDINANCE TO ALLOW FOR PRIVATE
SEWAGE DISPOSAL SYSTEMS to be adopted and signified his approval of the same
by affixing his signature thereto.
Passed by the City Council on the 14TH day of August, 2013.
