Benefits Agreement (CBA) Updates Job Training Program (Section IV) •MSD with CBA Signatories have developed a scope of services for the release of an RFP for a Job Training Program •RFP issued June 2, 2014 •The Public Notice of RFP was submitted to thirty-six (36) companies and advertised in three (3) papers of general circulation within the MSD service area •A non-mandatory Pre-Proposal conference was held on June 10, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. Five (5) Organizations were represented. •3 Proposal responses were received for Request for Proposal 5474 on Friday, July 18, 2014 •Proposal evaluations have been completed •Recommendation for award will be introduced at September’s Board meeting as an Agenda item. •Agenda item will be Adopted by the Board in October •Contract will start November 1, 2014 Community Benefits Agreement (CBA) Updates First Source Hiring Program (Section V) •St. Louis Agency on Training and Employment (SLATE) –SLATE submitted Quarterly Report (June 30, 2014) –SLATE has conducted 12 Construction Apprenticeship Information Sessions within the past year –Last session was held on August 5, 2014 »349 Total Participants »299 Applicants signed up for the First Source Hiring Program »27 Applicants are on the First Source Hiring Eligibility List –MSD/SLATE to hold monthly contractors information sessions through the end of the calendar year and quarterly thereafter –SLATE has developed an aggressive outreach plan to include: »Intake activities for First Source Hiring Program »Community Agencies outreach activities »Marketing activities Community Benefits Agreement (CBA) Education and Internship Programs (Section VII) •MSD is scheduled to consult with CBA Signatories on the development, implementation and monitoring of this program at the next scheduled CBA meeting (August 27, 2014) 4th Quarter Diversity Initiatives Diversity participated in the Annual CIRP Program Briefing on April 28, 2014 Diversity participated in the MOKAN Symposium on May 9, 2014 Diversity participated in the St. Louis Minority Business Council Business Opportunity Fair – June 12, 2014 Diversity participated in the annual St. Louis American Diversity
