Leesburg to Host FOIA/COIA and Robert’s Rules of Order
Training for Board & Commission Members
Event will be Moderated by Jeanette A. Irby, Leesburg Town Attorney
Leesburg, VA (January 24, 2013) – The Leesburg Town Council is hosting a training session on
FOIA/COIA (Freedom of Information Act/Conflict of Interest Act) and Robert’s Rules of Order for all
Town Board and Commission members. Training will take place on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at
6:00 p.m. in the Town Council Chambers at the Leesburg Town Hall (25 West Market Street).
Speakers will include Alan Gernhardt, Staff Attorney Virginia Freedom of Information Advisory Council;
Jim Plowman, Loudoun County Commonwealth’s Attorney; and Jack Roberts, Loudoun County Attorney.
All Boards and Commission members are invited to attend the training. Members of the public are
welcome.
