APPROVING AWARD OF THE DEERVIEW LOOPING PROJECT TO VOLKENS
EXCAVATING INC. FOR $23,987, FOR THE CITY OF TIFFIN, BY
RECOMMENDATION FROM THE PROJECT ENGINEER
WHEREAS, The City Council of the City of Tiffin has received bids for the Deerview Looping
Project; and
WHEREAS, the City of Tiffin has identified Volkens Excavating, Inc. as having .the lowest
responsive, most responsible bid in the amount of $23,987; and
WHEREAS, the City of Tiffin desires to expedite the contractual process; now
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Tiffin to authorize the
Mayor and City Administrator/ Clerk to sign all necessary notices, documents, and forms of
contract, as required and necessary to execute a contract with Volkens Excavating, Inc. as
identified and recommended by the Project Engineer.
