Space)
Town of Orleans-Selectmen approved going to TM for amount $187,000-may increase
their offer ($225,000-$250,000)
State Land Grant applied for at this time
June 30 deadline; P+S may be extended for funding
BCT has a P+S for an adjacent piece, if Matthews purchased
Tax title piece adjacent
Has Orleans asked for any restrictions? Conservation Restriction (not to exceed our
restriction) additional layer of protection
Bottom line is to protect the land/well worth proceeding
Not just for Orleans; has an impact on Brewster's future regarding water district
In future planning, we believe all these lots could be developed in subdivisions-maybe
20 years
Is there land in Brewster that should be purchased? YES, but we are on track to
protect 35 acres. All these are developable lots with future purchases.
