AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 19 (MOTOR VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC) AND
CHAPTER 22 (PARKING, STOPPING, AND STANDING) OF THE CODE OF THE
CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, BY MODIFICATION OF PORTIONS TO MATCH
EXISTING CONDITIONS AND PLANS FOR THE CAPITOL AVENUE
IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Chapter 19-401 (Motor Vehicles and Traffic), Schedule G (Stop
Intersections), Subparagraph (b), of the Code of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, is
hereby amended by the modification of:

Section 2. Chapter 19-401 (Motor Vehicles and Traffic), Schedule H () ield Signs),
of the Code of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, is hereby amended by the addition of:
(P) Roadways entering a roundabout intersection. The driver of a vehicle on any road entering
a roundabout intersection shally'eld the right-of-way to any vehicle in the roundabout, if
failure to do so would constitute an immediate hazard.
Section 3. Chapter 19-401 (Motor Vehicles and Traffic), Schedule J (Parking
Prohibited), Subparagraph (a), of the Code of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, is hereby
amended by the modification of:

Section 8. Chapter 19-1 (Definitions), of the Code of the City of Jefferson,
Missouri, is hereby amended by the modification of:
Designated Bicycle Lane. A portion of the roadway or highway that has been designated by
the governing body having jurisdiction over such roadway or
highway hy striping with signing or striping with pavement
markings for the preferential or exclusive use of bicycles.

Section 9. Chapter 19-87 (Bicycle lane regulation), of the Code of the City of
Jefferson, Missouri, is hereby amended'by the modification of:
A designated bicycle lane shall not.be obstructed by a parked or standing motor vehicle or other stationary
object. A motor vehicle may be driven in a designated bicycle lane only for the purpose of a lawful maneuver
to cross the lane or to provide for safe travel. In making an otherwise lawful maneuver that requires traveling
in or crossing a designated bicycle lane, the driver of a motor vehicle shall yield to any bicycle in the lane.
As used in this ,

Code of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, is hereby amended by the addition of:
