Meeting Minutes
February 24, 2010
Chairman Paul Hush called the meeting to order at 4:30 P.M.
Members present were: Paul Hush, Roy Robinson, Elliot Carr, Jeanne Boehm, Elizabeth
Taylor, Terry Ryder and Roland Bassett Jr.
1) Review minutes of February 10, 2010
MOTION by Roy Robinson to approve minutes as corrected
Second by Jeanne Boehm
VOTE: 6-0-0
2) Any new applications?
None at this point
3) Update on Orleans support for Matthews Open Space Acquisition
Orleans Selectmen approved $375,000 to be voted at TM
4) Dues for Community Preservation Coalition
It is suggested that we increase Administrative Expenses for the 2011 fiscal year to
$15,000 instead of $10,000 to make sure we are covered for all such expenses.
Trade organization-represents in the Legislature.
Dues are $2400., approve now and to be paid in July
MOTION by Elliot Carr to pay CP Coalition the bill for $2400 in July. Second by Roland
Bassett Jr. VOTE: 7-0-0

MOTION by Roy Robinson to increase Administrative Expenses to $15,000; monies used in
this fund to be approved Committee. Second by Roland Bassett Jr. VOTE: 7-0-0
5) Update on Latham project, and anything new (?) on Brewster Woods
Paul Rushinskas sent to Paul Hush an update;
Latham-may come in for an update within a month or two
Brewster Woods-nearly finalized RFP for a developer (May/June), just the
start
6) Further Discussion
Time to review the (basically inactive) Housing Buy-Down program for which $360,000
in CPC funds have been set aside in prior years?
Schedule a review and full discussion first meeting in April. 14th

Paul Hush will ask Jillian Douglass and Sue Leven to come to a meeting to discuss this
program;
Is the Advertising program on the local channel?
Does Town Planner have any input into affordable housing?
OTHER BUSINESS
• Legislature for Recreation land?-in the Legislature /committee meetings etc., no means
a sure thing
• Discussion regarding the term "ACTIVE RECREATION PROGRAMS", Was it part of the
original article (2005) voted at TM?
We have since removed this phrase
What is the State definition of "active" recreation?
• ET asked for Approval for $2,000 for property appraisal?
Should come under Open Space Reserve
Don't have the funds until July 1
Need a better understanding

subject to availability of funds. Second by Roland Bassett Jr. VOTE: 7-0-0
