CPC will present One (1) Article at TM: $18,000.00 Cemetery Project and State allocation 3. Further discussion on "beach application" Elizabeth Taylor will act as a consultant to this group Don't know of any follow-up to date Questions pending; Can they buy just the "beach rights" and not the house Do they own to high or low water mark? Is this a °Kings Grant" property? Peter Johnson-will research the questions high/ low water mark. Further discussion; Interesting proposition Peter Johnson- they must now approach the owner, possibly discuss a "bargain sale" with tax implications, and negotiate a price. Carr- for the record "I would vote against this" even at $500,000.00 Bassett- why buy more beach if you don't increase the parking lot. Johnson-a lot people come from out of the neighborhood to use that beach. Use is already maxed out. Does the town have a ~~beach master and plan"? Acquiring land is an opportunity and a priority. CPC Minutes 08-25-10 Page 1 of 2 4. Reports on present status of approved projects Paul Hush Brewster Affordable Housing Fund- we need another full discussion in future, see how the proposed PR plan works. Affordable Deed Restricted Buy-Down Program-same as above Cape Rep Theatre-COMPLETED, money well spent, kept the historical aspect of the building Crosby Mansion-no request for work proposal, no money used, paperwork is holding this back Paul Ruchinskas Latham Centers- report from PR (e-mail) has spent most of the money Brewster Woods-no formal application, about to sent RFP Elizabeth Taylor Bates Property(Elizabeth will speak about these at the next meeting) Matthews Property Skyline Property Stranahan Crystaloski Elliott Carr Stony Brook Mill Sites Committee- has gone out for bid, imminent; no work done yet, EC will keep in touch with Dana Condit Terry Ryder Brewster Cemetery Commission #1-almost done, good investment Brewster Cemetery Commission #2-coming up, concerned about BMH restoration Roy Robinson Hiogins Farm Windmill Restoration -all internal restoration, completed, operational, remove brush has been done. BHS Barn Restoration at Spruce Hill-started, roof fixed, gave up when Blacksmith Shop not allowed, monies left ($15,500), possible moving the barn to Drummer Boy Park land to house the Apothecary Shop, suggested that TC look at this change. Go for Spring TM Blacksmiths Shop restoration-COMPLETED; a little left, handicap ramp must be fixed, fire alarm system must be done Roland Bassett Tennis Court/Quick Start Project-COMPLETED and open, they won a national award, is being used by all ages, CPC should be noted on the permanent sign, have been having trouble with the locks, charge to play in the summer (Selectmen required this), free all the rest of the year. A gem of a project. Carr-suggested a time clause/reapply written into the application, possibly 3 years. Costs go up the longer projects are delayed as well as tying up money that could be allocated to other applications. 5) Other business Carr: Motion to adjourn meeting Robinson: Second VOTE: 5-0-0 Meeting adjourned at 6:OOPM Next Meeting: September 22, 2010 Eliza~th Taylor, Clerk Mari yn Mooer ecording Secre Y CPC Minutes 08-25-10 ~ / Page 2 of 2
